Hello residents of Maghull,
Maghull Town Council is pleased to
continue delivering improvements
across the town’s parks and green
spaces as part of its ongoing
commitment to creating safe,
attractive and enjoyable
environments for residents of all
ages.
Maghull Town Council would like to
place on record its sincere thanks
to the Mersey Rivers Trust for both
the donation and their support in
helping deliver the Council’s wider
biodiversity and environmental
objectives.
Planting efforts have continued
throughout the spring months, with
the Council’s Grounds Maintenance
Team also planting seasonal bulbs,
including daffodils and tulips, at
Glenn Park, Ballswood and Old Hall
Park. In addition, new shrubs have
been planted at Mersey Park, Moss
Park, Whinney Brook and Round
Meade to further improve the
appearance and ecological value of
these spaces.
Following last year ’s programme of
refurbishment and enhancement
works, further upgrades are now
taking place across several parks
throughout Maghull. This year will
see the installation of new
multi-play units at Moss Park and
Dodds Park, helping to provide
modern and inclusive play
opportunities for local children and
families.
Maghull Town Council remains
committed to continuing
improvements across the town’s
parks and encourages residents to
follow the Council’s website and
social media platforms for further
updates on upcoming projects and
developments.
In addition, safety surfacing is
being improved in a number of
parks, alongside the installation of
additional benches and the
repainting of selected play
equipment to enhance both
appearance and longevity.

The Council’s investment in green
spaces has also continued through
a significant programme of
environmental and biodiversity
planting. Earlier this year, the
Council’s Grounds Maintenance
Team worked alongside the Mersey
Rivers Trust to plant well over 200
trees across parks and green
spaces in Maghull, including
species such as oak, birch and
elder, to name just a few. This was
in addition to the planting of
hedgerow to further support wildlife
habitats and biodiversity.
