At 2348 (Maghull) Squadron,
cadets take part in a wide range
of activities. From flying and
gliding opportunities to shooting,
fieldcraft and adventure training,
there is always something new to
t r y. W h e t h e r i t ’s l e a r n i n g t o l e a d
a team, taking part in sports
competitions, or gaining
qualifications such as first aid,
cadets are constantly developing
skills that will benefit them for
life. There are also chances to
travel, attend camps on RAF
stations and meet other cadets
from across the UK. The unit is
grateful for some council funding
received to purchase new First
A i d t r a i n i n g e q u i p m e n t r e c e n t l y.
But you don’t need to have
ambitions of joining the RAF to get
involved. The Air Cadets is open to
everyone and focuses on personal
growth, building friendships and
stepping outside your comfort zone.
I t ’s a w e l c o m i n g a n d i n c l u s i v e
environment where young people
from all backgrounds can thrive.
P a r e n t s o f t e n s e e a r e a l d i ff e r e n c e
too—greater self-confidence,
improved discipline and a strong
s e n s e o f r e s p o n s i b i l i t y. M a n y c a d e t s
go on to excel in further education,
careers and community roles thanks
to the experiences they gain.
