Public Art Trail
A permanent student-commissioned art
trail across all Tier 2 parks. Each park gets
a signature piece. The disc golf baskets at
Pimbley designed as sculpture. Heritage
markers at Old Hall from reclaimed canal
materials. A community mosaic at KGV —
one tile from every primary school child in
Maghull.
Ecology Living Lab
Old Hall Field, Pimbley and Woodend
offered as long-term study sites. Students
conduct biodiversity surveys, wildlife
corridor mapping, soil health
assessments. FOMD gets scientific data.
You get Green Flag evidence and grant
credibility.
Architecture Design Comp
Open brief for the town hall youth wing
design. Student teams compete. The
Shadow Youth Council judges. The
winning concept informs the architect's
brief. Free thinking, bold outcomes,
media-worthy process.
Digital Trail & App
Students build the Maghull Green Trail
app — QR codes, AR-enabled treasure
hunts, interactive park maps, wildlife
spotting guides. Young people design the
content as part of the Life Skills
Qualification.
Café Business Plan
Schools Creative Brief
Live consultancy brief: design, model and
plan the KGV social enterprise café.
Student teams produce a full business
plan, financial model and operating
guide. You get free strategic consultancy.
They get a real-world portfolio piece.
A standing open invitation to sixth-form
Art, DT and Geography students. Park
identity signs, wayfinding designs,
heritage interpretation boards,
community garden plans. A level
coursework with a real outcome in a real
place.
