These works form part of Phase 1 of
the recovery programme and are
expected to continue through the
summer months. The aim remains
to make the north side of the
building fully operational again,
while also creating the conditions
for further restoration and
redevelopment works to take place
safely and efficiently.
Further details on these plans will be
shared over the coming weeks as
designs develop.
The Council is also continuing to
review opportunities to reopen
parts of the Meadows car park
where possible, subject to ongoing
health and safety requirements
and the demands of the
construction programme. However,
some areas may need to remain
closed or be temporarily reclosed
as later phases of work progress.
Town Council staff, contractors and
partner organisations continue to
work closely together to move the
recovery programme forward, and
the Council thanks residents for their
continued patience and support
while this complex project
progresses.
Alongside the physical recovery
works, architects are now
progressing designs for the future
of the Town Hall. These proposals
will form Phase 2 of the wider
restoration project and will build
upon the extensive public
consultation previously carried out
by the Council.
Maghull Town Council are
exploring all options for the
rebuild. We will keep you informed
as it progresses.
The Council has stressed that it will
continue to take a careful and
measured approach throughout the
project to ensure the restoration
remains financially responsible and
within budget.

Hi, my name is Kevin, and I am the Finance Officer for Maghull Town Council,
responsible for the management of MTC’s finances. As a town council we are
responsible for the upkeep of your numerous parks, green spaces, advice
centre and council buildings. It is my job to ensure you receive best value for
your money whilst maintaining that you receive the highest standards in our
public facilities. Budgets are managed stringently, whilst we plan for
necessary improvements to play areas and the equipment needed to keep
the parks looking pristine.
We are obviously facing an unprecedented project at the town hall in the
coming months, but we look forward to delivering a fantastic new facility for
the people of Maghull.
