Join the Adventure with
12th Maghull Scouts
The 12th Maghull Scout Group is
welcoming new youth members and
adult volunteers to join one of the area’s
most active and growing Scout groups.
Scouting offers young people the chance
to learn new skills, make lifelong
friendships, build confidence, and enjoy
exciting adventures both indoors and
outdoors. At 12th Maghull Scouts, there
is something for everyone aged 6 to 18.
Our Beaver Scouts section welcomes
children aged 638 and focuses on fun,
friendship, games, crafts and outdoor
activities.
Cub Scouts (ages 8310½) develop
teamwork, creativity and independence
through challenges, camps and
community activities.
Scouts (ages 10½314) take part in even
bigger adventures including hiking,
camping, pioneering, survival skills and
leadership activities.
For teenagers aged 14318, our Explorer
Scouts section provides opportunities
for expeditions, residential trips and
personal development.
We are also actively recruiting Young
Leaders aged 14318. Young Leaders
help support younger sections while
developing leadership, communication
and teamwork skills. The scheme is an
excellent way to gain experience and
contributes towards the volunteering
section of the Duke of Edinburgh's
Award.
The group meets every Monday evening
at Deyes High School. Beaver Scouts
and Cub Scouts meet from 6:15pm to
7:15pm, followed by Scouts & Explorers
from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
Alongside youth recruitment, we urgently
need more adult volunteers to help
support our growing group. You do not
need previous Scouting experience 4 just
enthusiasm and a willingness to help
young people thrive. Whether you can
volunteer every week or occasionally,
there are flexible opportunities available
ranging from section helpers and activity
support to behind-the-scenes
administration and fundraising roles.
