Maghull Cricket Club is
proudly celebrating its
centenary in 2026, with a
packed calendar of events
to mark 100 years of
cricketing heritage. The
celebrations are already
well underway, including a
special centenary fixture
against Ormskirk CC,
recreating the club’s very
first match4this time
taking on the reigning ECB
National Champions. We
were also honoured to
welcome a side from the
world-renowned
Marylebone Cricket Club,
custodians of Lord’s and
the Laws of Cricket.
With much of the summer
still to come, there’s plenty
more to look forward to,
culminating in a
spectacular centenary
dinner at Aintree
Racecourse in November.
On the field, our senior
teams have made solid and
encouraging starts to the
season, with both the 1st
and 2nd XI embarking on a
new era under fresh
leadership.
Our junior section continues
to go from strength to
strength, with thriving
numbers from Under-9s
through to Under-15s. In a
landmark year, we are also
proud to have launched our
first-ever All Girls section, a
new Dynamos Cricket group
for girls aged 8311, building
on the continued success of
our All Stars programme for
younger players.
It’s been a fantastic start to
a historic year4and the
best is still to come.
