Presents
The Harrison Lynch Cup
Maghull Advisory & Community Enterprise (MACE) in
association with Maghull Town Council presented a youth
football event, that took place during the October half
term. Organised by Cllr Leatherbarrow and Cllr
Darlington supported by Cllr Parker, Cllr Esterson, and
Cllr G Birchall (MTC Youth team). The aim was to support
young people in our community by tackling antisocial
behaviour and promoting positive mental health through
sport and wellbeing activities.

As part of the Lifting the limits in L31 Project from
Merseyside Police. Gamechanger was a free football
tournament, ending in a family-friendly final on 2nd
November 2025 – the Harrison Lynch Cup – held at
Maghull FC.
This event was being held in memory
of Harrison Lynch, who passed away
in 2023. In honour of Harrison, we
want to raise awareness around the
issue of youth suicide and highlight
the power of sport, teamwork, and
connection in supporting young
minds. It was open to boys and girls
years 7 -11 attending school in
Maghull. The tournament took place
over 3 days. First 2 days was played at
Maghull High School.
